Guidelines for Research Essay

The research essay component will require some amount of academic research on one specific topic chosen from a range of topics that will be given later in the semester. It can be done individually or by groups of not more than 4. However, if students choose to complete this in a group, a one page report on how group members performed and contributed to this paper has to be written by each member of the group (If you want to complete this in a group but can’t seem to form a group, let me know and I will assign you to one). The length of this paper will be 4-6 pages.

Besides your essay, you will also submit the following documents (you can download these documents through the links on the right of this page):
1) Marking Criteria - Write your name(s) and ID Number(s) on the sheet and attach it together with your essay
2) Plagiarism Sheet - Sign your names on the sheet and attach it together with your essay
3) Peer Evaluation Form - If you did your assignment in a group (more than 1 person), you have to submit this form to me. However, please submit this form to me SEPARATELY from your essay to ensure confidentiality.
